Faux Outrage and the difference between $1 Million vs. $15 Million

Last month, during the CSCOPE debate, Senator and Education Chair Dan Patrick pointed out, to the shock and amazement of half of the room filled with pro CSCOPE:  lobbyists,  PAC’s and Superintendents, Texas school districts were charged  — three times — more than what should have been charged for the use of the CSCOPE management and lesson plan program.

Per Toni Fabry, in aggregate, Texas ISD’s were charged over $15 million for CSCOPE.

Texas was charged three times more than what we should have been charged for only small and mid-sized schools use of CSCOPE?   That is theft of our taxpayer dollars, is it not?  Where is Texas Tribune? Austin American Stateman?  Longview News-Journal?  Where are the headlines for this atrocity?  Where is the outrage?

Today, after the posting  of some anti-American, anti-Christian, communism boasting assessments and their answers, some are up in arms — faux outrage — over the anticipated cost for re-writing 30 assessments to be $1 million.

Why pay for the re-write? Why not let the teachers do what they were trained to do and write the lessons and tests themselves?
